My 17 month old son loves this doll--after a short period when he saw him as a rival! Now they are 'friends' and he identifies his body parts, puts things in the pockets and bag, zips the zipper. . . We use it to teach the 'gentle' concept and Phil joins us for stories and sharing toys.

We ordered this for our son for this Christmas so he hasn't actually gotten it yet, however, I thought I would make a note because I couldn't find this information anywhere else... Yes, you CAN remove the hat! It's not attached in any way to the doll as is so often the case. The doll is absolutely delightful and much cuter in person than in the pictures. The materials are very soft and the colours are vibrant and well coordinated. I especially love the hair. It's soft and yet won't tangle as so many other types of hair fibers do. Overall, the doll seems to be very well designed and made.
