Not musical. Tune is terrible. September 1, 2010 Sally A. Ames (Papillion, NE USA) I picked the Fisher Price for the durability, believing the overall quality would be good as well. I was terribly disappointed when we opened this for my daughter's birthday to find many of the bars out of tune. Also, the sting is too short for her to get the mallet to the bars. I understand it is short for safety, but even an adult has to struggle with reaching all the bars to tap. I do not like it and will be purchasing something to replace it in the future.
Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone August 12, 2010 C. Cullinane I really like this, however I wish they would put a sheet of color music bars so kids can play tunes. Also a longer string so the younger ones can pull it. I had to save the box in order for the child to play a song by color.
Great for little ones June 17, 2010 Mom of two I bought this for my son's first birthday, and he loves it. His older brother who is three loves it too. The only things I don't like about it are:
br /1. The cord attaching the mallet is pretty short, so little hands have trouble playing all the keys.
br /2. The notes are not very in tune.
br /But, for the price, it's a great little toy.
Nice xylophone June 16, 2010 Cheri Jackson (Houston, TX) We have fun with this xylophone. My 2-year-old son likes to play it and also likes for mommy to tap out tunes so he can sing along. The sound quality is pretty good. The only thing I wish is that the string attaching the mallet to the xylophone was 2-3 inches longer. It's hard to hit the highest note b/c the string isn't quite long enough.
the string is a little to short, but it is overall a good music toy April 14, 2010 L. Zhao The string is a little to short. I end up cut it. Now my baby can play with her music toy. It is overall a very nice music toy.
