I can't say that my son really needed a buddy in bed with him at night to help him sleep, but I thought it wouldn't hurt. He was probably 9 mos. or so when we got it. He is two and a half now and still loves this toy. It has become a little friend that he snuggles with EVERY night. In fact, if he has an issue falling to sleep right away, I often find him rolling around in bed talking to it and repeatedly turning it on until he is too tired to notice it turned off. It is like having someone in the room with him. We bought one for our nephew when we heard he was having issues with going to bed and it was a hit as well. We will be buying another for our second child!

I got this for my niece a year and a half ago and she loves it! She uses it every night and carries it around all the time. I gotta say it's holding up well and my brother and sister-in-law say it lulls her to sleep and they never get sick of hearing its soft music -in fact it makes them want to take a nap as well! Makes me nostalgic for the Glow Worms I grew up with. They make new models now that are also on par with this from what I've seen in the stores (I don't know if they have the same longevity and durability though) but it seems she has already knighted a favorite.

This little guy is GREAT! Love the plush portion of the body. The portion that lights is a soft plastic. He plays soothing sounds and is adorable. Easy to push and activate for the little ones.

This seahorse is a really cute cuddle partner for a child. My 10 week old doesn't really appreciate it yet, but she's just too young. I like that it plays music for a long time. She will sit and stare at it while it glows and plays music. Its also a plush toy. I love how it feels. I would recommend this product to anyone.

This review is for all of you people out there that have unhappy babies! I had an unexpected third child. Let me tell you she's a piece of work! She definitely wasn't one of those happy babies. She's very demanding and never happy with anything. I felt like I was losing my mind. I couldn't even go shopping, she'd cry and I mean pitch a complete fit. One day I was walking around Target and picked up this Seahorse. I pushed the belly, and it played soothing music. I think that she was 2-3 months old. She immediately stopped crying! No Joke! I walked around and had to keep pushing the belly as it has one of those plastic pieces that have to be pulled out for it to play longer. She was happy as long as the seahorse played it tunes. I put it down and would pick it up each time I wanted to shop in Target. I wouldn't buy it 'cause I figured that it was a fluke and I'd get it home only to find out that she wouldn't want anything more to do with it. One day I forgot to tell the cashier to put it back and I accidentally purchased it. I contemplated taking it back and then thought that it was cheap enough and I'd just keep it. It was one of the best things I've even gotten her. We called it her best friend. She'd be screaming mad, we turn on her best friend and she'd calm down and fall asleep. No baby is too young for this. You just turn it on and lay it next to the baby. It's truly awesome!!!!!
