Pogo Sticks works August 19, 2010 B. K. Schache (Illinois, USA) My nine year old daughter enjoys this pogo stick. She wears elbow and knee pads as well as a helmet for safety. Her older sister (11) also jumps well too. At the time of this review, the pogo stick is still new; but we have encountered no problems with it.
Fun but not durable July 28, 2010 C. Nickerson My son is enjoying his pogo stick but he has only had it a month and the foam that covers the metal is ripping in various areas. We have had to duct tape it. I can see the foam will eventually fall off and that is disappointing.
So far so good! July 27, 2010 Pamela C. Piccione (Sacramento, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading some of the reviews, I may be a bit premature in writing one of my own. Today was the first day my grandson had the opportunity to visit and try out his new pogo stick. I am puzzled by those who commented on the weight range. My grandson is 8 years old and very thin- around 62 lbs. Since he had never been on a pogo stick before, he had a bit of a problem getting the hang of it. I told him a solid start and keep the body straight. Within 1/2 hr. he had 75 consecutive jumps. He was even able to jump off and back onto the curb. He even jumped down the block! He would not put it down. He absolutely LOVES it. My only concern is whether I can purchase extra rubber tips as this seems to be a common complaint among reviewers. I looked at the tip when Riley was finally exhausted and it already seemed to show signs of wearing down. I reminded him to avoid leaning forward as this may result in falling and injuring his vital parts. Too far back and he could fall backwards. However, it didn't take him long to know exactly what to do. If he felt himself tipping too far forward or too far backward, he hopped off. But if wasn't long before he learned to correct this while still jumping. So far, I would definitely recommend this. Although the weight restrictions indicate 80-160 lbs. He is only 62 lbs. and had no problem getting great jumps and even "catching air." The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the issue of the rubber tip wearing down so quickly.
Excellent Childs Toy July 20, 2010 Joseph Colombo (WASHINGTONVILLE, NY, US) This pogo stick is very well made and works great. The spring comes extremely tight so it gives the child a chance to get used to it before they start moving. The handles are all wrapped for safety and that helps. At the top of the bar it most have some kind of joints pieces and they stick out slightly but not a big deal.
So much fun! July 19, 2010 Jeanette R. West (Alexandria, MN USA) Pogo sticks are a hit, and the stores here sold out at Christmas last year. I got this one for a birthday gift this summer to give our 11 year old. Not only did he enjoy it, but several others too (including teenage and adult siblings). This is very well made and an excellent value. I would not hesitate to purchase their products again.
