View larger./em/b/font /td/tr /table brbColorful Balls that Spin and Pop in the Air/bbr The Busy Ball Popper is a one-piece toy that's made up of a removable ball trough, tube, and tray. When your child presses down on the big-eyed mushroom character on the Ball Popper, the balls move up the tube and pop out of the top, falling back into the tray to start the process all over again.P The popper is made to withstand the rigors of your infant's play and can be easily cleaned with a damp towel. The plastic balls are large enough that you will not have to worry about them as choking hazards, but when your child is popping the balls, make sure to keep an eye out for balls as they can go off of the track occasionally. The popper also includes eight lively songs that start once you have pumped down the plunger to activate the ball-popping fan.p Keep in mind that although the Busy Ball Popper is made out of a strong, durable plastic, it is fairly heavy and should be kept on a flat surface while being played to avoid any damage to your furniture. The toy also shuts itself off after a short period of time, but it is recommended to always turn it off manually for battery conservation.p bGreat Sensorial, Put-and-take Work For Your Child/bbr This ball popper is a great toy for infants gaining gross motor skills, or for toddlers who are ready to chase the balls around the house and dance to the upbeat music. It is visually appealing with its bright, colorful balls and characters, and you never know where the balls may land, making it an exciting and new adventure each time.p bWhat's in the Box/bbr Ball popper base, plastic ball tray and lower trough, and five plastic balls. My son LOVES it! March 6, 2010 Brandon C. Walker (Oklahoma) My son loves this and plays with it all the time! We use it to work on colors as well as have fun! The music is a little loud, but we keep it in his room so not to bother anyone else! LOVE IT!
Scary, vacuum cleaner sounds annoying music! February 20, 2010 Techie supreme (San Francisco, CA) If you're looking to purchase a scary toy that makes vacuum cleaner sucking sounds and plays the most annoying "arcade like" music, then this is for you. We received this as a gift for my son's first birthday - he was honestly scared of this toy for about 2-3 weeks (I think it was the horrible and loud vacuum cleaner sound it makes when you turn it on). I don't see any educational value from this toy and after 2-3 weeks of trying it out, we were all relieved when we decided to retire this to the basement.
No good - annoying and ineffective February 18, 2010 C. Laufenberg (Seattle, WA) This toy is incredibly annoying. It plays awful music/sounds and the balls don't stay in the track - they fly all over the place and you are constantly rounding them up to put them back in the machine. I will admit that I didn't read the description well enough before ordering or I would seen that it was accompanied by music. I'm not sure I wouldn't have bought it so I offer this review to warn others. Heed this review and the earlier one -- this toy will test your sanity!
A gift for niece. February 18, 2010 Emily Monnin (USA) I thought it seemed like a good gift, had difficulty getting it to work upon assembling it and putting in batteries.
Surprisingly Educational! February 18, 2010 G. Palmer (Burlington County, NJ, USA) We received this as a Christmas gift (2 1/2 months ago) and my son (now 11 months) loves it! I didn't think of it as educational initially, but he's definitely learned a lot from it:
br /
br /1)We had to push the lever at first, but he quickly learned how to push it himself.
br /2)He's figured out how to go get the balls that pop out and bring them to me to put them back in. I can see him trying to figure out how to put them in himself now.
br /3)Over the past week, he's developed a new game which he's making up "rules" for as he goes - throw the ball across the room and go get it, bounce the ball off the stairs, throw the ball to mommy or daddy and wait till they throw it back, etc. The balls are the perfect size and weight for him to play with, with or without the popper.
br /
br /I'm amazed to watch him work out new ways to play with this toy. It's definitely one of his favorites.
br /
br /He hasn't ever appeared to be startled or afraid of the popping or music, but a friend of mine mentioned that her son's really afraid of it so I guess that's a possibility for some kiddos.
